Junior Carnivals 2011/12

This season there are 4 Carnivals, plus State Qualifyers, and State Titles:

Sunday 20th November 2011 SOMERTON 7.30am

Sunday 4th December 2011 SEMAPHORE 7.30am

Sunday 15th January 2012 NORMANVILLE 7.30am

Sunday 19th February 2012 GLENELG 7.30am

Saturday 3rd March 2012 PORT NOARLUNGA 7.30am

Saturday/Sunday 17th/18th March 2012 SEACLIFF 7.30am

SKILLS REQUIRED TO COMPETE AT JUNIOR CARNIVALS 

If your child wants to compete at carnivals, and we will encourage them to do so, then they must obtain the following awards.

Under 7 & 8 – Nil as they do not compete

Under 9 – 175m ocean swim within 11 minutes

Under 10 – 175 ocean swim within 12 minutes

Under 11 – 275 ocean swim within 12 minutes

Under 12 – 275 ocean swim within 10 minutes

Under 13 – 275 ocean swim within 8 minutes

Under 14 – must meet Surf Rescue Certificate criteria, or be working towards this
